Manufacturer's
Warranties:
We only
install roof systems that are manufactured by a company that has
proven to us that they are capable of maintaining a high level of
quality. We also make sure that they have the financial capability
to stand behind their warranties and provide our customers with
the protection they deserve.
Lundin
Roofing Company Warranties:
|
Lundin
Roofing will guarantee all our work to be leak free for a
period of one year. In addition, if the work includes re-roofing
or a new roof, and the owner does not want a manufacturer's
warranty, we will guarantee the roof to be leak free for a
period of five years. This and additional guarantees are available
with our service agreements and maintenance contracts.

Extended
Warranties:
Many
of our manufacturers will extend the original ten-year warranty
for an additional ten years if the roof has been properly maintained.
They usually require that the roof is re-coated and a new warranty
fee paid. This will give the owner a new 10-year guarantee for less
than 40% of the cost of a new roof. Additionally,
many of the manufacturers will, at the time of the original installation,
issue extended warranties that will provide the customer with a
leak free warranty for 15 years with a 20 year material guarantee.
Service
Agreements:
To get
the longest life from a roof, it should be inspected twice a year.
At the time of the inspection, defects should be noted in a history
file and repaired before major problems develop. Our service agreements
will provide you with the assurance that your roofs are inspected,
defects are repaired and a history of the roof is maintained. You
will get a report after each inspection showing you pictures of
any defects found, the corrective action taken and any recommendations
for major rehabilitation that may be needed.
Maintenance
Contracts:
We service
many owners of large facilities who, because of our extraordinary
safety record combined with our cost control and cost reporting
programs, have requested maintenance contracts. One of the great
values of a maintenance agreement for the owner is that we assign
a specific foreman to their facility, so that the same contact person
will respond to all their calls. This allows the foremen to become
familiar with the owner's facility, his special safety requirements
and the level of service and reporting that the owner requires.
Although maintenance contracts are usually done on a "cost
plus a fixed percentage" basis, we can also provide unit price
and hard dollar quotes for maintenance.
Built
Up and Modified Bitumen Roof Systems:
Although
we feel that spray polyurethane foam and most single ply roof systems
will provide our customers with a better value for their money,
we recognize that some customers still prefer to use built up and
modified bitumen systems. These systems can also provide you with
many years of trouble free protection, but like all systems, they
must be properly installed, maintained and inspected on a regular
basis. We have experienced crews that know how to properly install,
repair and maintain these systems.
Metal
Roof Systems:
Lundin
Roofing Company has installed numerous metal roof systems with a
great deal of success. These metal systems can come with a manufacturer's
20-year guarantee against fading or coating failure. This, and the
fact that most of the manufacturer's will provide help in the design
stage, has contributed to the acceptance of this system. The design
of the system and the fabrication and installation of the flashings
are two very important factors that contribute to successful metal
roof systems.
Waterproofing:
We have
many years experience in both sub-grade and above grade waterproofing.
Sub-grade waterproofing is usually used under the
floors and around the outside walls of a basement. The soil and
water conditions we have in south Louisiana dictate that highly
sophisticated drainage and waterproofing systems be used whenever
construction is to go underground. We have successfully installed
sub-grade waterproofing to buildings built forty feet below the
water table in the area. Above grade waterproofing
includes exterior walls above grade and roofs that will be used
as walk decks, planters or vehicle traffic areas. Again, proper
design, proper materials and skilled workmanship are required for
a successful job.
Insulation
and Air Seal:
Spray
polyurethane foam has been used for many years as insulation in
residential as well as commercial construction because of its superior
insulation value and because it can seal the building and eliminate
energy loss from air infiltration. Spray polyurethane foam is being
used more often for insulation in the south because of rising utility
costs and because it adds to the strength and rigidity of the exterior
walls. Currently spray polyurethane foam is mainly used in upscale
residential and commercial buildings, but new technology is moving
towards popular use in all construction.
